Agreed. Racism is not just a "white on black" problem. Also on a relative basis this country, as a country, does not fare too badly.

As far as the statistics go, what do thay really show?Do they show that a black person is more likely to commit "car-jacking" or that a person from a "deprived" background is? Also I don't see alot of fig more…

You've got some good points there Luvinit, maybe it's as well to add that ethinc groups are sometimes racist against other ethnic groups also.

Yep you're right...the example of the middle class home county person was probably a pretty lazy way of getting the point across. If you lived in timbuctoo and the press was constantly full of stories about nurses who murdered other people then you'd probably be somewhat wary of nurses if you'd had no personal encounters with them.

I am white. I hate a class society but am damn sure my friends would call me upper-class. I live in a tiny village with little or no violence but moved from a place where violence was a daily occurence.
